Ever read "Freakonomics"? It's an amazing book, you should if you haven't already. This little gem of a statistic is found in the sequel "Super Freakonomics" (some of the chapters drag a bit, but all the stories/information is quite entertaining - also definitely worth a read).

This is an homage to the "one set of numbers, one set of shapes" minimalism that the folks at informationisbeautiful.net are famous for, with a touch of old school print industry flavour (pull quote, black/white/red colour-scheme).

Very interesting statistic. I like how at first sight it seems like there are more traffic-related deaths in 2007 but relatively speaking there are a lot less deaths in 2007.
